Michelle Lprenzo Caprio recalled her first visit to Powerhouse Gym, where Jerry’s warmth and kindness left an unforgettable impression. “He thanked everyone, every day,” she said, remembering his genuine care and encouragement.
Gordon Falcetti, a longtime friend and supporter, described Jerry as more than a mentor—he was a father figure. “For the past 15 years, he has been there for me during my highest and lowest points. I’ll never forget the countless hours we spent talking about life.”
Bennett Streets of Montanari Brothers Powerhouse Gym echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging Jerry’s unwavering support throughout his career. “He always encouraged me to do better and to do the right thing. He loved his family and friends.”
Jerry, alongside his brothers Richie, Dino, and Darin, helped build a legacy that extended far beyond the walls of the gym. The Montanari family first established East Coast Power Gym in 1984, later transitioning to Gold’s Gym in 1987, and eventually becoming Powerhouse Gym in 2012. Under Jerry’s leadership, the gym became a haven for bodybuilders, powerlifters, and fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the strength he instilled in those who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry Montanari’s kindness, dedication, and unwavering spirit will never be forgotten.
